Certificate Of Compliance Requirements
* Gas installations must undergo inspection every five years, accompanied by an updated Certificate of Compliance (CoC).
* Insurance companies may enforce annual inspection requirements based on their internal policies.
* When selling a property, a CoC not older than three months is mandatory, ensuring the purchaser's protection with a compliant installation and the replacement of perishable parts.
* Upon the completion of a gas installation, a thorough inspection, testing, and approval by a registered installer are mandatory. The user will receive a Certificate of Compliance confirming the installation's adherence to SANS 10087 regulations. Additionally, a copy of this certificate will be forwarded to a body appointed by the Chief Inspector of the Department of Labour for record-keeping purposes.
